Ammonia buildup from poor methylation resulting from MTHFR 1298c gene mutation?
Worth a shot. Switching part of my laxative regimine to lactulose, which lowers serum ammonia also. Many articles suggest high ammonia levels correlate with PD, such as this one:

May also explain part of why the eggplant juice has been working well, since it drives the urea/uric acid production, thus disposing ammonia.
